Hello kids, its me again with more pictures (and the dreaded frame).. a friend from work was kind enough to help me and stand in as model this time. Now, I have no confiednce in my photography skills and she is not a fan of herself in pictures... so I turn to you all, looking for opinions on which are better as color; or as a black and white image. They are the same four poses, just one set is color and the next is b&w.. so if you have time, and would like to help... please offer an opinion....as always, thanks in advance for your help...

More Portrait work... opinion time...
aaaaah.... Utah

So, I got to finally take my trip to Colorado and Utah this past week... and even though my mobility was restricted by this wonderful 'boot' I had to wear, I was still able to see a good amount of the National Parks that I had wanted to see. Now since you are all my wonderful photographica friends, I wanted to share some of the images from the parks I visited....as always, please feel free to leave feedback....
Who is this, who is sharring his pictures now?
Hey all, its been a while since I have bored you with photos of my daughter and begged you for your advice... but I am back, with more photos and looking again for the always helpful feedback. Quick stats, these photos were taken with a Canon 1D MkIII (rented, and yes it will be hard to send back) with a 85mm 1.2 lens (rented as well, and let me say this.... AWESOME). As soon as I win the lotto I plan to purchase both... also willing to accept donations (tee-hee)... in any case, enough from me. Here once again are various shots of my daughter.
More lighting pictures, different model...
I am continuing to work with lighting and now with the help of my wife, I have put together another batch of images... for all of you to see, and of course to provide feedback.... Here is what I had the settings at, f11 at 1/125th, and I was using a 70-200 lens. As always any and all feedback is welcome..
All you need .... is light.. <Take Two>

So... I am continuing to try and get a grip on this lighting thing, and am once again asking you kids for some help and feed back. This time I have changed the back drop from the warm-gray to an off-white (not the Super-white, I wanted), so you may notice a difference in color between the table and the background. In any case, I nabbed some cameras and set up the lights snapped a few shots and have now brought them to you... please let me know what you think...
No Stopping at the brick wall....
Here is my submission to this challenge. When I was walking around downtown, I had seen this wall, the bricks and their texture to me made for an interesting shot. Furthermore, I got a kick out of the sign; telling you there is no stopping. Maybe its just me but I think there is something funny about a sign saying 'No Stopping Anytime' in front of a brick wall..... I am sure, some where there is a philosophy major having a heck of a time sorting that one out.....
All you need .... is light..

So anyway... As I continue to learn more and more about this 'art' called photography... I have a friend that tells me something, that according to him; is paramount when it comes to photography, it's light. Apparently without it, pictures are kind of dark and well, useless. So with that said, I have decided to practice studio photography with some new lighting ideas (never underestimate the importance of reading). Now, with all of that out of the way... here is my daughter, once again, as the ever helpful model....
Do you know the way to .......PA?

Hello again, my friends of the photographic arts..... I did some traveling this week and I snapped a few shots. They are in color and there are some distortion issues... but I think for the most part they are ok... in any case... see what you think.
(ps- the dreaded frame is back...)
ladies and gentlemen.....

Hello all...I know I have bored some of you with my dream vacation coming up (I am heading to Colorado for a week), and while on this trip, I hope to capture some really cool images. I am taking my medium format, my digital (a small armada of lenses) and on and on, yada-yada-yada. In any case, leading up to this trip I have been practicing my landscape skills as well as post-production techniques. During this practice period... I have started putting together a technique (if you will), that would help set my images apart from every other person taking pictures of buildings. Some of my other photographer friends dig it, others, well lets just say there are some who have less than positive things to say. So with all of that said, here are some images I did in this technique (I am referring to it as Photografix) .... please let me know what you think...
Helloooooooooo......

So... anyway, there I was; minding my own business and a water line gives way. This sprays water all over my mini-studio in my basement, lights, camera and believe me there was a lot of action. Me rushing around trying to shut off water, move equipment, yeah.. you can just imagine. So with that said, here are the first batch of images since the accident, and I may be a little gun-shy but I think the images are a little soft. In any case, please take a look.. and offer any suggestions.
"... pleased to meet you, hope you've guessed my name"

Well, as I have promised I am posting another set of photos. They are in color, and they are food again; so hopefully nobody gets bored with it. I am attempting to sell images to stock photography sites, so if anyone happens to have any suggestions for items or foods to shoot, I am open...
again, thanks for any feedback
" .... don't be affraid of a little color"
So, as I often try to do in life, I take life experience and attempt to learn and better myself from it. With that said I have taken all of the great advice offered to me, by the great folks on this site. I have shot this series both in color and with out my copyright frame... as always feedback is welcome....
... the colors man, the colors!!!

As most of you know (or at least the ones who stop and check out my pictures), I normally take B&W. Now its not that I have anything against color, I really don't; I just really dig the detail, or feeling that you can convey with a B&W. In any case, as I mentioned before, I bought some flowers this week and decided to try my hand at photographing them. You have seen a few shots (as I said, in B&W.. can you see where this is going?), but these as some that I did in color and left in color.... so, as always let me know what you all think....
PS- if you get a chance, let mom know you appreciate everything she has done for you (it may be cheesy, but if you are like me; you can think of a half a dozen things she either helped you out with or went that extra mile for you).. so here's to you MOM.. THANKS FOR EVERYTHING...
....dig if you will, these pictures..

With Mother's Day coming up, I purchased some flowers for both mom and mom-in-law. They provided some good fodder for more pictures, and as we all know, they are black & white. So here are some shots of a rose and a sunflower; as always feedback is welcome...
...Sugar and Spice and all things nice

Hello all, its me again with yet more pictures and yes, they are black&white. In any case I have been trying some new lighting techniques and some new equipment, and was hoping to share some of the images with you. My always helpful and usually good spirited daughter was kind enough to play model for this set, and her patience was rewarded (she got some ice cream later). All that aside, please let me know what you think.
