For me the Berlin wall epitomizes human pain and suffering, wish these were better shots, but there's not much of the wall left. ( thank goodness). What there is, is hard to photograph. wall 1 wall 2 And on a lighter note, this is not for squeamish people,,, suture line of my back after spinal fusion surgery. ouch

I visited the harbor town, Schierstein, where I lived for 4 years.( age 8 or so) It is on the Rhine River. Found my old apartment without any difficulty  streets are very narrow, cobblestoned, the quaint harbour has really changed, lots of boats people and traffic.
Finally a bit of  sex education German style.

We got to visit the original farm house my husband grew up in... many moons ago.. just like it was original barn The current owners grow lilies to sell and experiment with hybrids...dark lily Variety of lilies
