2 weeks after we had a rain/wind/hail storm, we had another one just like it yesterday. Not really much for showing the wind but I thought I would share anyway. Also, since it will be my 3 year Photographica anniversary, I thought I would post the very first shot that I posted here. And believe it or not it would be good for this challenge and was taken in Buggin's neck of the woods. Lol, I didn't realize that I was coming up on 3 years til I looked at my profile.windsurfer_sunset Hail_1 Hail_2

When your digital camera's CCD(image sensor) goes bad it may look like this...
I haven't posted in a while. I took the opportunity to grab a daylight moon shot late this morning. I never have gotten a great moon shot, mostly because I've never really had a lens long enough to do it justice (still don't,lol). This was with a 300mm. It's kinda blah so I also decided to play with it some in photoshop for a few minutes.

This will be my first posting in a while and I haven't done one since the new site changes. I posted these pier shots quite some time ago, but several comments were made that they would look better if larger. I said I would make them larger, but hadn't done it. So, since I haven't been shooting much for awhile, I thought I would enlarge them and use it to try out the new site system. Hope you enjoy!
I went out to the park to shoot some flower closeups. As there was a light wind, I was limited in what I could shoot. Anyway, here is one of the non-swaying ones (
Here is another of my water shots from the NC mountains. Also, the site for a NC photographer that started like most of us....just having a fascination with picking up a camera and shooting the outdoors...specifically water. I bought his first book about 12 years ago. I had never heard of him, but the book was about shooting NC waterfalls, so it caught my eye immediately. As coincidences usually happen, I took the book to work at that time( a custom photo lab) and showed it to a friend. Lo and behold,he new the guy and his family as he grew up near them. Funny how that works. Anyway,if you like to shoot the outdoors, especially around water, mountains, beach I recommend you check out his site.
As it's a cold rainy day here today, I thought I would do some scanning. All of these are from Niagra Falls(Canadian side) except for the last shot. It was a gray day when I shot there too. Da
In following Rockadee's lead on showing our pre-digital equipment.... here's mine. Actually, as I don't have a digital SLR yet, this is still my main body for the most part. I, too, would like to see others show theirs, so to speak.
I'm still looking through old negs and came across these shots. Quality isn't the best as they are negs made from slides along time ago. That makes them 3rd generation after scanning them in, so I had to sharpen them somewhat. Anyway, thought I would share. First 2 are from Lake Lure in NC mtns.
Well, I decided to head back to the memorial garden nearby for the new assignment. The only film I had was years out of date( kept in fridge)! I figured let's just see what I get out of it. The color had done some shifting and the local 1 hour did a fairly crappy job of printing, so I just scanned the negs and tried to balance them ( It wasn't easy). Anyway here goes:
I was going through more negs and ran across these, thought I would post'em.
Even though I haven't been able to get out and shoot for awhile I thought I would give you a not by the rules taste of my area(I live in Concord,NC and work in Charlotte). So,I have a few pics from both spots. These were taken with a point n shoot camera that I was trying out at the time. From my living town are these shots from a
I'm digging through my negs now that I can scan them. Just another I thought I would post. I've not been shooting as I'm getting over a pinched nerve in my shoulder, so bear with me as I re-discover past shots. These were taken in Maine.
