Biography
Photographer, Wife, Mother, survent to four Bulldogs and artist. I have been taking pictures for over 50 years but have never done anything professional. I have never sold anything, but I have given much away as gifts. Now that I am retiring I am looking forward to taking some classes and maybe even selling some of my work. I have been married for 40 years and I have two children that are grown and on thier own. But I also raise bulldogs, and they never grow up they are always the lite in our otherwise dreary life. No grandchildren, so the dogs take the place of would be grandchildren. They are just as spoilt as any child and they know it. Looking forward to the comments of my work.
Artist's Statement
I love to find the extrordinary in everyday objects, I find photographing landscapes and animals the most fun. But I also love children, but most of my shots of children are old and do not come across on the screen very well. I try to see the prospective shots through views not seen in everyday, but am not always able to catch that. Color is important, but it is the shadows that will draw my attention faster than the bright colors. Showing the depth of a shot through the use of shadows is intriging to me. I am a work in progress and hope to learn a lot more through the comments that I will receive here, I have never showen my work. So I am excited to receive the good as well as the bad, it will all be a learning experience for me.
Camera Equipment
I have a Nikon SLR, several smaller point and shoot 35mms, and I have just started using a digital camera, it is Cannon 2.1 Mega Pixels and for a first digital it is producing some fair shots. But not what my Nikon has produced for me in the past. I want to get the new Nikon SLR digital, but at the current cost I will have to wait till I get a fresh batch of puppies to sell to be able to afford it.

Far too many to list here but have already seen several here on this site that I found intriging. Looking forward to seeing even more and then maybe I can come back and list some more.
