We had rare beautiful lighting at an away meet yesterday! I finally able to shoot the first 1/2 of the meet at 200ISO. YEAH!

I have another competition in the fall. Help me weed these out.

I wish I could carry around a pocket full of sun just to dapple  into some pictures. And light angel halos. And get swimmers to cross at every meetfreestyle backstroke

The rain came down in sheets this week and brought out the kayakers. Kennedy Mill Dam is a favorite location during high water. This group is my husband and his friends Scot, Jeremy, Matt, and Bill

We got up at 5AM Saturday to go on my son's first pheasant hunt. By 7:30 he'd gotten his first bird of the day. I think even he was stunned by how pretty a hen's feathers are. Here are a couple of other choice photos

I was desperate on this last shot for my UV lens which I left at home and tried an unusual trick. I used my sunglasses and adjusted the shutter to compensate barn. I thought it came out pretty good, I can only notice a slight distortion on the right.

This started out with a request last year for someone to take picture on the last game of the season of parents and their kids . . . I tried a few action shots seeing that I got field access . . . the rest has been history. I can't wait to get my new camera and see where this goes, I love seeing them every night and they love the pictures. These are the 4 best ones I've taken this season. My Konica/Minolta A2 takes horrible shots at 400 & 800 ISO (too much noise) but I get nice ones during practice.

I posted similar photos yesterday, but one or two of you wanted to see Maria converted to Popup LinkBlack & White and the origional of Kim were in Popup Linkcolor and equally as stunning, if not more so. She was sitting by a fire and protecting her face from the heat with a Popup Linkscarf. Too pretty!

Paddling with the right equipment (grin)

This shot was taken about 10 days after I got my current camera (Konica/Minolta A2 - YUCK - don't do it) last February. I really thought I was great, just because I could turn to manual settings! I've learned a lot on this camera but I'm ready to move on.

Again, these shots were taken in Popup Linkwinter - and TJ is doing Popup Linka flat water cartwheel and ends with a nice relaxed Popup Linkglance upstream. (Personally, I'd be about frozen by this time.)

Joyful symmetry comes in all different shapes and sizes. Popup LinkMichelle and Matt kayaked close to my home last February and I was astounded by their  Popup Linkgrace and Popup Linkbeauty. It's amazing how colorful they were against the dismal winter landscape.
