By ripjames written 3/2/08 12:08 PM, published 3/2/08 12:08 PM

So i belong to another forum site that is mainly for canon photographers and I came across HDR images in the photo sharing section there, wow, I really like them alot so i decided to go out and try to produce some myself, now none of mine are as good as the ones I saw, I need to play with exposure time some more I think. Anyway here are the pics let me know what you think.

First Trip back home

By ripjames written 1/3/08 8:40 PM, published 1/3/08 8:40 PM

I'm currently back in Kansas where I grew up and moved away from 6 years ago.  This is my first trip back since I left.  Lot of things are the same including Bouchie who is about 14 years old now.  After catching up with my grandparents, I decided to go for a walk around the farm and shoot some pictures, I got some amazning shots while I was out, and yes I used MY own camera this time.

Semi White Christmas

By ripjames written 1/1/08 2:36 PM, published 1/1/08 2:36 PM

So I havnt' really gotten out much this year to take pictures, been quite a bit of drama, so on christmas I decided that I needed to rectify that.  I was invited out to my ex's parents for christmas, and as it is always one of my favorite places to take picture I decided to take some.  Only I didn't do it with my camera as I didn't take it with me ( Ya Ya Ya, sin, but to be honest it wasn't really on my mind at the time)  Anyway my ex has a new camera, he bought so well who know why he bought it but it's a nice camera and he wasn't using it so I put it to use.  I took these pics on an Olympus Evolt 510 with the standard .9m/2.96ft - infinity lens.. sorry if thats not the right title for the lens i am new to SLR's myself I have a Panasonic Lumix Fz 30 which isn't an SLR.

Independence Day at the Inlaws

By ripjames written 7/4/06 8:00 PM, published 7/4/06 8:00 PM

There is one thing I love most about my inlaws, there is plenty of nature to photograph and I am not responsible for taking care of it, hence why there garden's are worth photographing and mine aren't.  Here are a few photos that I liked from the couple hundred or so I took, most of which were of me determined to get a decent shot of a very elusive humming bird.

Popup Linkelusive humming bird I finally wore it down, I wasn't very happy with the overall picture but I wanted proof that I finally got one.  I think I may have cropped to much of it.

I liked the overall look of this one.

I think these are called Clemedia, not sure.

I loved how this one turned out, one of my more successful macro shots, I really wish I hadn't left my tripod at home today. Popup LinkDalia I think these are called Dalia's

and I really loved this one but I can be biased as this is one of my favorite shades of  blue.  Popup LinkBlue Flowers For the life of me I can't remember what these are called.

This one is of my father inlaws rose bush that the local deer were kind enough to trim for him, there were only two flowers left on it today.Popup LinkWhite Rose
