Shadows and light #3

I know it has been a little while between my posts.  I do hope you all enjoy the play of light and formation of shadows in these three shots.

BTW, the stones are a monolith over 20 feet high with a small creek and waterfall, very peaceful.

*Best of fall

I drive by this car each afternoon on my way to work, so in desperation and need of a "FIX" as I have not been able to go on a shoot in a while I shot this out my passenger window as I drove by.

It was a hot October day and they opened the park up to all for a day of fun. I've kept 78 of the many shots I took over the day so I'll be busy for awhile.

ThisBusy little Bee even looked for some shade.

Home Sweet Home is from one of the inside displays and interactive events.

Beauty could be found all over the gardens.

The event was to promote healthy families so we even had coconut bowling...yes I will have more to show you at a later time.

Taken in late afternoon into the sunlight. I attempted to use the trees to block the sun so I could get the shot of the train as it went over.

Of course all comments and critiques are always welcome.

note: I lightened the thumbnail so you could see what was in the foreground of the moon shot.
I do think I've found some curves?

Light as a Feather- natural curves

By sceneangel written 9/28/06 7:00 AM, published 9/28/06 7:00 AM

As the light filtered through the window, I could not help but notice the natural curve of the feathers. So soft and beautiful as the light hit them.

Just one simple shot, three different ways. I am leaning towards the sepia which is very strange for me. Please let me know which of these works best.

Blues by the River

By sceneangel written 9/18/06 2:02 PM, published 9/18/06 2:02 PM

Saturday was our yearly event Popup Link"Blues by the River" put on by the Shasta Blues Society. I'm a volunteer and the proceeds go to a fund that supplies instruments and lessons to kids.
One of my favorites is a great Chicago style blues player and his band,Popup LinkChris Bell Blues Band.
Of course after some beers or other good drinks the dance floor gets fun... Popup LinkThis guy did not spill a drop!

Just for fun I shot this from the hip Popup LinkBlues Feet moving(warning...ps'd)

I have to say I filled up my one memory card...didn't think I was going to be taking pictures...dumb move. So not to many shots to choose from. Great day and lots of good music.
My shots of the other bands are well...not worthy.

This was something I wanted to do for Sept.11th but we had so much smoke due to local fires I could not go out and shoot this. Well the wind blew the smoke away today for a bit and I was able to get a few shots(yeah just a few...LOL)
