This one just came into bloom this morning.

This post has been something of a problem. When I blew up the thumb to edit it, I discovered an insect pest which I hadn't known was on one of my favorite orchids! Then I found that I'd blown the highlights in the second photo...but I do love that blue.

Had a very happy shoot with this young family.

We just returned from visiting children, grandchildren and extended family in NY and attending a wedding in MA. Loved every minute of that lush, green country, despite the humidity!
This is one of the last great oaks on the slopes of Mt. Diablo. Hard to convey how massive and aged they are.
Still haven't managed to add a thumbnail, Cory, despite all the helpful suggestions. Maybe because I use a Mac with the Leopard OS?
This is an epiphyllum, a faithful bloomer that is always a challenge to photograph.
I like this challenge. Here's a recent one.
One more for the challenge, courtesy of an offshore high.
