Biography
Born, in 1955, & raised in Cleveland, Ohio. Moved to Virginia in 1999. Work in the maintenance dept. of the local hospital, which gives me access to the roof, and some fabulous views!
Artist's Statement
There has always been at least 1 camera around my whole life, mostly Polaroids & Instamatics. In the early 80's, got into 35mm, and played with that for several years, but was never really excited about the results. I guess I was stuck in
"snapshot" mode. As I got older, it became harder to focus, so I offed the SLR, and went to a point&shoot 35mm.
Without realizing it, I've been waiting for digital photography my whole life.
The "instant" gratification of digital increased the learning curve dramatically! I moved up to dSLR in 2004, and have never been happier.
Camera Equipment
Nikon D70, Nikkor 18-70 & 70-300 zooms, SB-600 flash, a couple of cheapy slave flashes, Bogen tripod, Tamrac Pro-8 bag.
Favorite Photographers
I can't really say I have a "favorite". At any given time, you can look at the front page of Photographica, and always find something that should be in a magazine, or on a calendar. I've learned more from my time on this site than I have in the last 25 years!
