I just got back from another trip to the islands. This time it was to close on a piece of property I just purchased on the Big Island. Once, off the plane my first stop is always Old Airport Beach Park. There's always plenty people cooking out and having fun at this beach.

On the second day we made our way out to Ka Lae to check out hte southern most point of the US. The Kamaoa Wind Farm is one the way to Ka Lae. The farm isn't working at this time, but I think they have plans to replace the Mitsubishi Turbines shortly.  

Rent Glass is a mail oder Lens Rental Company. They are currently renting a nice selection of Canon lenses, but plan to start offering Nikon Lenses shortly. They have some really nice expensive lenses that you can try out to see if you like them before you buy them, or if you just need them for a limited time. The rates are reasonable, and so far I'm very pleased with them. I currently have Sigma 15mm f/2.8 EX Diagonal Fisheye with me. I wish I would have had it for the trip to Hawaii last week. Anyway - the rates are reasonable, and the send you everything you need to return the lens back to them.

I recently bought a house in Hoquiam, WA. It's a cute little house, but needs some work to make it my home. So, I've been spending two days out of the week down working on it. This was the first weekend that I stayed both days. I spent most of the time tearing down plywood walls in the upstairs. I found some interesting things hidden in the walls.

Time comes and goes in the same instant. Sometimes there are moments that get caught within our heads, and remain with us for eternity. I wonder if there is a way to make time stand still?

It seems like I haven't posted here in ages. I have been working so much that I haven't had much time to photograph anything. I was able to take some time off recently to scout out the Big Island. I happened to be there when Tropical Depression Kenneth was passing through, which made it difficult to get many non rainy photographs.

Now that the weather is starting to get nice it seems that many of the fire departments are getting out an conducting controlled burns thoughout many areas.
