Punta Cana Beach
Hi everyone, it's been a long time since my last post but I wanted to see if the site is still working. So, here is a shot that I took a long time ago. It had been laying in my photo files for years and was overlooked and nearly forgotten.
Some of you have seen this but it has never been posted here. Hope you enjoy it. And for sure, let me know what you think.
This is the time of the year that creation is in full bloom. I love to get out in the garden or take a walk in a park to see what I can discover. What have you found? Creation sings
What has happened to Photographica....
Not a single post in a week... very sad...
Note: upload program chopped off bottom of image, is that because of the initial size?
Vivid Sydney light festival - Part 3
Vivid Sydney light festival - Part 2
Some more pictures from Vivid. MOCA is the Museum of Contemporary Art building and The Toaster is a residential building on Circular Quay. When the plans were published someone said it was a blight on the landscape and looked like a big toaster! LOL.
Vivid Sydney light festival - Part 1
Every year the city of Sydney hosts the Vivid light festival where the Sydney CBD is lit up. It runs for a couple of weeks. I headed in for some night photography. This is part 1. These shots are of the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Cruise Liner terminal and the Harbour Bridge.
It has Been a Wonderful Spring - - - - -
So I am going to spoil it! Now that was mean wasn't it? :>))
The story is that I have hundreds of 35mm slides so I bought a slide scanner and this was one of the old images a captured over 30 years. Of course I did some post work on it. That is just me. I will post the original. Thanks for looking.
So I am REALLY slow ...
... when it comes to editing images. More precisely slow to edit to get the effect I want. This image was taken in 2009 and there are many iterations. What do you think?
That blooming tree
After putting up with snow, and white, all winter, and half of spring, you'd think I'd be tired of it. But nooo, here is some more white.
Buds - pretty pink
Tree 1 - detail
Tree 2 - this actually had a ring of flowers around an opening. My picture just didn't capture it correctly
Bunny - he just wanted me to take his picture
Winter to Spring
Took this winter shot in November. Came by the same spot the other day and got this spring edition. The great late day backlight caught my attention. It was a little difficult to get the exact position and spot but it worked well. I had taken a printout of the winter capture to help find that exact spot. Hope you enjoy and thanks for dropping in.
Here is an easy comparison
After the snow storm
and back to spring.
Typical spring shots, no more snow (I hope!)
Working in the yard. Every day is like Christmas, you never know just what will show up next.
Like these Flower shoots. Anybody has any idea what I should expect?
PS, note to self, and others: Take pictures before mowing. I don't know how many violets I chopped off.
Nancy is so busy getting her garden ready, this spring, she had her sisters come and help here.
The snow storm continues
Got off work this morning and more of this white stuff. Fortunately it is melting during the day, so there isn't all that much accumulation.
Snow 3 - detail of snow on some evergreens, converted to B/W. It was pretty much B/W anyway.
Snow 4 - snowy scene
Snow 5 - snow on tree with red brick background.
Snow 5.5 - edited for Mack
