Sugaring Slowly and more
A few weeks back, I hung up sap buckets with dad and since then I have only taken sugaring photos on two different days. It's a challenge to get that really great shot. The lighting has to be just right and the background can't be sloppy. Also helps if you have a nice background, to start with but of course with recent adjustments to the woodsy area the backgrounds are less then perfect. Hope you enjoy these two photos anyways: A pair of sap buckets Heat Source
Last weekend Kitty was out roaming with me while I was checking trees for birds and just looking around. I took a lot of photos of Kitty but only a few came out nicely because I still lack experience for photos on sunny days. For some reason I just like this one. Hope you enjoy this shot of her too! Over the weekend this person caught my attention...(he or she) seemed to be Resting ,,,while I saw others this is the one that 'pulled' at me...
We have been blessed with another day, Enjoy the day....
A Note to Visitors!!!!!!!!!!
Every day there are many visitors viewing Photographica and we know many of you have beautiful images that should be shared.
We need more participation in posting and commenting. Soooooooooooo please share! It sure would make Photographica a more interesting place!!!!!!
Cloudy the last few days. Rained, and now there is sleet/snow coming down. Looks to be an all nighter, too.
So to cheer me up, I took a picture of a flower.
Funny thing happened while editing the picture. The gray in the lower/right side is EXACTLY the same color as the background of the editor. When it loaded, I thought, "Just what did I do now?!!"
Curious what you all think ...
... about this image. It's part of a project I'm working on - Curves - I try to take photos where the viewer sees the curves and not necessarily the actual item. Tricky. Interested in how you view it, the composition, gray tones, focus, what you like and don't like, etc.
The background in black velveteen and it is a B&W conversion from color.
BTW-This image won a 3rd place in a local fine art show in March.
For a few dollars, some roofing, a little siding and some elbow grease this beautiful cabin can be yours in Northern Michigan.

This is just a snapshot - - - -
This is just a snapshot but thought it was cute of our Rippy getting into the catnip bag. I suppose it would qualify for the No. 8 - Flash challenge.

Challenge---Styles (6, 9, 12)
A couple for the Styles Challenge..
#9 close up is one of our early spring display.... and #12 outside was taken at Cades Cove this past Saturday....we saw 86 deer while driving the cove loop (11 miles), have never seen this many deer in one day before, sure was a great day (just driving through Cades Cove is always refreshing even w/o seeing any wildlife--this trip was A+ for me)..
A few more deer--I was in the driver seat and when we came upon a line of 'slow traffic' finally saw the reason why and there was not a pull off in order to stop so this one was taken through the passenger side with window down......I think maybe there were telling us Goodbye.....or maybe Glad You Came to Visit.... Frame ..already had this labled as frame when I look at the least so it is not an internal frame.
after posting and looking at these my close up it is not focused too good and sure thought it was
Have a great day that you have been blessed with........
