I'd never seen the lake from the air only from 97 on the way through.

Are the little green bugs out yet over there?

Cool, thx all. Now let's see if I can answer all the above: Temp of the lakes Wood Lake is warm, Okanagan Lake gets warm in shallower areas, Kalamalka Lake to me is cooler than Okanagan Lake, but still quite nice on a hot day.

Get that high in a floatplane. LOL

What green bugs? Do you mean tourists? hehe

Not a vineyard, it's an apple orchard.

Hey, close is relative, 4-5 hours not bad. Hate that drive though LOL

First try at ariels, was just pointing and shooting, didn't have much time to compose, so just hoped for the best.

    Thanks evry1 again.

Yea, specially if ya have a boat?  Along hwy 97 there is a provincial park/campsite/boat launch/beach. We launch our boat there when we go to Kalamalka Lake. It's pretty wide open tho, not many trees for shade cause it's a pretty new site. I think Kalamalka Lake is about 10-11 km long (from Vernon to Oyama). If ya want more info pm me.
