Hello everyone! I have been visiting this site regularly for the past few weeks and finally have decided that I just have to join in the fun! I am very much an amateur but I have been considering a digital photography class at our local community college.

Here's a photo of a glass horse that I took last night: glass horse

And here's a few that I took a couple months ago, just to give you an idea of what kind of work I like to do:

Great shot of the horse & lamp...,is it a neon lamp? I'm pretty new to (started last week). Welcome.

I'm also new, so here it is - "constructive" check the spelling. Might try to experiment, how does the glass horse look with light shining from the side or back? Maybe a different colored background. In sky I would crop out the lamp post, it's distracting. Just experiment a little. I'm not an expert. You can learn a lot by viewing all the photos here. Overall the photos are nice. Welcome.

Hi all, thanks for the comments. I would have liked to take some time to edit but I had to run out to do some things tonight and wanted to get my post off before I left. You're right though Pablo, I really should have double checked my spelling. I accidentally attatched the version of the sky pic BEFORE I photoshopped that lamppost out....whoops. That's what I get for rushing :P I had some fun with the glass horse image in photoshop last night too....now if only I could figure out how to post pictures in the feedback section, is that possible?

Spelings knot everyting. Ask Chef. The horse was cool...and Pablo made some good suggestions...take some more photos with different angles and lights...I'd like to see what you come up with!! Welcome aboard....but only hit this site when heavily medicated.

welcome to the site. Very nice variety of shots--the gas station shot really struck me, though--great sky, cool sihouette branches and all those lights...nice!

Hi, welcome. I'm fairly new as well. I just joined about two weeks ago. I like the horse shot. It does sparkle doesn't it? I like the moon too. The tree on the left of the "gas station" is really nice, but I feel as if the lampposts take away from it's limbs. The sky star is really neat too! Cool moment. Definately need to think about taking the lamppost out of the left side though. Nice work, especially without editing.
