Some landscape shots from southern England that I took a month ago: a lake in Beaulieu village, the Calshot beach and some lime cliffs. I shot the last image from a little airplane (a Piper), flying over the coast - a really exciting trip.
Those cliffs are amazing. How close can you get them via boat? I liked the beach shot, too, and wonder if you got some close shots of those bath houses?
Hello everybody and thank you for your comments!
I'll try to answer to your questions:
First, to Austinspace: you can get as close as you wish to these cliffs by boat and I hope one day I'll do this, too. These cliffs that I shot from the airplane were Isle of Wight's cliffs - maybe not as famous as Dover's cliffs, but certainly as beautiful. I was very excited about taking pictures from a small airplane, flying at low altitude, and I shot maybe 20, but when I checked them at home, this was the only good one. All of them were blurred, because of the airplane's window, which got a lot of dirt on it - salt, water, dust, etc. A vintage open airplane would be perfect for this kind of job, isn't it?
Don't have close shots of the bath houses (not yet), sorry!
Literature about Southern England? I could recommend "Britain on country roads", but anyway there are hundreds of books about this area. I'm afraid I'm not very good in giving references, but I can recommend some places to visit, such as New Forest, Meon Valley or Isle of Wight.
