If you took that shot at home, SG, better call pest control. Looks like something I once found in my sleeping bag on Saipan. Now that would really scare Laura, Jo, Beh & Penny.

I've been told that it is a common brown garden spider... also called a Wolf spider... nontheless... its about 2" across ... big nasty wicked ugly... bug.....

I had one crawl across my hand at my house once...I almost had heart failure. Thank goodness I didn't go with my first instinct to squash it. It had an egg sack and I would have had thousands of baby spiders in the house then! ((shiver)) The local ag people told me it was harmless ( I trapped it and mailed it to them) but I don't care...they won't be living in my house!

Special News Report: East Tennesee native found today in her home collapsed. The woman was found with a big hairy spider crawling across her leg, a toy poodle staring at her, and soiled underwear. Update tonight at 10.

I don't think it's a wolf spider..wolf spiders don't use webs ..their a ground crawling creepy thingy...it's still scary looking....eeeeeeh

I would have suggested using a flash to get more detail but it would have probably leapt at you...and that would not have been good.
