Downtown Portland Panorama

Today, for lunch, I drove over to Pro Photo Supply and bought myself a level to attach to the hotshoe of my Canon 20D.  That way, I could take panoramas and have them turn out pretty level and good.

Afterwards, I went across the river and set up my camera and took some shots to take back and stitch together.

Here's the Popup Linkend result.  I think I need to use Manual exposure next time... :P

By the way, see that tall building on the right?  I work there!

Enjoy!

9 single shots went into it. Stitching it together was trivial using 'Autostitch'. Google for it. There may be something better, but it couldn't get any easier or cheaper!

excellent work--hey, my older brother worked somewhere around there--Army Corps of Engineers. Is that near your work?

It's so long for 9 shots in one row, I think..but if you used 2 rows then it woud be 8 or 10. I guess that you had alot of over lap then..thats got to be it ...did you use alot of over lap?

Good stitch and very nice result on the shot & composition. Like chef09 (chef I understand, but the 09 has me puzzled), I am surprised that the pano is 9 shots, unless you were overlapping a lot, really a lot. But whatever, very good image. I like.
