Beautiful Sunrise in Portland

This morning, I made it downtown before the sun came up.  So I went across the bridge and got set up and took some pictures of downtown Portland as the sun was coming up.

This first pan was taken at Popup Link7:20am.  You can still see the lights on the Hawthorne bridge.  And the focus was fantastic.  13 shots at ISO100, f/10, 5 second exposures

This second pan was after the sun was more firmly in the sky.  See how the sky has turned?  Popup Link7:42am.   12 shots at ISO100, f/5, 1/15 second exposures.

After I left there, I went to work.  Looking out the window towards the sunrise, I could see fog nestled in among the trees and hills in the east.  It was stunning.  Popup Link8:19am.  18 shots at ISO 100, f/22, 1/15 second exposures.

All of the images were stitched together using Autostitch (http://www.autostitch.net/).  After stitching at 100% using linear blending, I loaded them into Photoshop, cropped them to where I wanted them, then applied an Auto Contrast.  Finally, a pass with CSpro (http://www.fredmiranda.com/).

Enjoy.  Or heck, maybe purchase?  :)

Seven:20 and seven:42am are both extremely good. I especially like seven:20am with the street lights reflecting in the water. Eight:19am is pretty good, however, the stitching isn't as good as the other two. Thanks for the views.

wow, 720 is a really good picture. I would love to see it without having to use the scroll bar. Would say it is one for a wall. Great shots!!

    WOW!

Really nice shots! I need to get off my butt one of these weekends and drive up there and do some shooting. One of those "I've wanted to do" for ages and it's less than 2 hours away things.

    - Oh Bull!
