Snow, Huckleberries and Rainbows

Well, our friends promised us a tour of Olympic National Park. It started out raining that day but as we neared the park the sun came out. As we neared the top of the mountain to Hurricane Ridge, luckily it started to Popup Link

Snow! Thus ruining any chance we would see the great 360 degree views. So I shot some Popup Link

Huckleberries
So our day was a wash. But as we headed home of course the sun began to shine again and we did see the Popup Link

I wouldn't call it a complete wash, photographically anyway. That rainbow shot is incredible!

Stunning rainbow Moose, snow shot is neat and nice color on the Huckleberry. You certainly had a trip to remember for all time.

If you get just one good shot it wasn't a total wash. Your rainbow made it worth getting out of bed. Really a nice shot.

If these are the results of total wash, I can't imagine a "successful" day. Snow is such a soft, delicate shot. And the others are lovely as well. Are you going to trickle the vacation stuff out a little at a time or what?

Didn't mean that it was a wash photgraphically although it wasn't what I had planned for. It was that my friends are great hikers and they had planned on taking me on a hike along hurricane ridge and it was so snowy and windy we abandoned that Idea and just drove around, thus the wash.. Smally, I don't want to over do it and I'm not sure I have many more worth showing. I may do one last post on it though.

I really liked the snow shot and then the huckleberry shot. But that rainbow is the best rainbow shot I have ever seen. It looks like something you would see on the beginning of a fairytale. Absolutely beatiful Moose.

I really love the way the clouds appear to be spilling over the ridge and the rainbow is virtually bursting from the plume of fluffy whites. The color on the leaf shot is so rich. Very nice! And I can't wait to see some snow this year...I am with Beholden...I get a little warm in my heart when I think of winter.

Cool shot Moose ..the rainbow ..to me looks like an.... atomic rainbow fall-out...you don't get cancer from it ...just pieces of gold and bits of Lepercons all over.
