I can't tell you how much this depresses me. I went to a nearby lake and took a few pictures at the resort there: summer's end.

  • Beautiful pics as always!

  • I simply love the sun going down on the boats. The lines and the light make for a great shot and the tight crop in flawless.

  • I really like the ripples shot. For some odd reason, Fall reminds me of rebirth rather than of an ending. I guess that's a good adaptation for a Minnesotan. I think it's partially due to the world opening up as the leaves fall off the trees. All of the sudden you can see things that were obscured before. A Minnesota artist that we really like, Charles Beck, mentioned that he finds summer uninteresting...basically for that very same reason. Anyway, I think your shots are great.

Nice shots. I am with TT about the boats. I had to laugh at the cabins. They look like something you would find around here.

  • With the ending of one season and starting another is just a great way to appreciate what each one offers and to enjoy them in different ways-- Like the reflection in the water the best.

All are fantastic shots, John, and do portray the ending of one season. The beauty in that is the fact that we have yet another one to take it's place, with more photo opportunities. Which I'm sure you'll take full advantage of!
