Spent the day driving the Pacific Coast Highway from LA to San Francisco. Had to resist the urge to stop every 1/2 mile to take photos. Otherwise, I would still be out there on the road!
#2 for the serenity and #6 showing the force of the water against the boulder are my favorite --Can see why you had to discipline yourself about stopping.
Love that stretch of highway too! Just like you, I want to stop every 1/4 mile. Hey you could be one of those nutball roadies that bike the PCH, but then you risk being roadkill.
Hey TTEOLM, you mean BICYCLE!? That IS nuts! However, I saw a phello photog with a large format "box" cameraand a tripod. He was toting it on a motorcycle! Definitely an advantage since his bike was easier to park on the side of those narrow roads! Actually, I don't live in this area. I am merely working here this month. I have the good fortune to have a job where I travel around the country most of the year. And now I have a place to show off some of the places I visit, and perhaps show someone a different view of their area. Its a pretty good life.
Sorry, yes bicycle...We camp north of Fort Bragg and there really are no bike lanes and they are just trucking up and down those hills. And then while in our car navigating one of those hairpin turns....boom....there is a roadie! Too scary for me....Lucky you to work and see the country, I am jealous.
