More shots of the Fremont Bridge

Yesterday morning, on the way to work, the sky was fantastic, and I got the silly idea of taking a few pictures on the way to work.  Probably has to do with the fact that rain was in the forecast for today.

My fiance works in northwest Portland, so I was already in the vicinity, so I decided to take some shots of the Fremont from an angle that we don't see every day.

Almost directly under the bridge, or one of the feeder onramps, there is a Popup Linkschool.  Don't ask me which one, I didn't even realize it was a school when I took it...

Over where Naito Parkway goes under the bridge, I took Popup Linkthis shot.  Here it is again in Popup Linkb&w.  I really like the b&w version.  I thought about editing out the power lines.  But doing it right would take some time.  If I were going to sell the photo, I would definitely take the time...

A few feet to the right, I was directly under the bridge.   Popup LinkColor, Popup Linkb&w.

Enjoy.

Oh, yes, your feedback would be appreciated.  What do you guys think, are any of these sellable?

I think I prefer the color version of the under the bridge shots (this). Taking out that one power line would be a snap. b&w would be stunning with a little more contrast me thinks...

I agree with TT, and may I add..to crop it alittle more from the left.

The original is huge (3398x7303), and in it you can clearly see that there are actually 6 powerlines, and they go all the way across. Removing them from the sky is easy. Removing them from where they cross the bridge is not too hard, for the most part. Removing them in front of high-detail parts of the bridge would be harder. But removing them from where they cross the tree? I don't know, is there an easy way to do that?

Without seeing it close up I would suggest to blow it up real big..200-400 times it size then just use a small brush size with the clone tool and clone leaf over the leaf with power lines and sky over the sky with power lines..no easy way I know ..just time and a good eye...Are you using a Photoshop?

I would think the tree would be easier than bridge parts since a bridge has symetrical parts and definite stops and starts. The tree is a bit more random and you can insert a branch or twig without someone raising an eyebrow.

Depends on how close you look. If I look at the image at full size, I can see individual leaves. At full size, I need to re-construct those individual leaves that were intersected by the black line. A simple cloning won't do. But I don't want the reconstructed leaves to look artificial. I'm a perfectionist, what can I say? :)

All you have to do it trace, and copy a leaf and paste it over the leaf that has line in it..bout like I said ..not at a 100%, but at 2-300% it's easy just takes time

Are you using a graphic tablet? I have a Graphire (about $100) that makes the tedious erasing and cloning so much easier. I use one at work, and I have one at home. Once you use one regularly you never want to go back to the mouse or trackpad. I thought "this" was my favorite, too--the misty background really did it for me, and I preferred the color version. Have you thought to go back to that location when it's foggy?
