Candles...it's that time of year

Well it's been almost a year since my last post, but with college and all, it's hard to find time.
Winter is my absolute favorite time of year...the smells, the food, cooking, being with family, and the beautiful decorations.
One of my favorite parts of the holiday atmosphere are the scent of the candles at my parent's house. So I thought I'd get in the spirit by experiment with the light. Open flame is hard to capture, espically with an auto focus camera, as it is seen by the naked eye. But I thought I'd have some fun with it anyway.

Wish they were a little more in focus.... I really like Paint effect.... really goes well with that angle and lighting, plus the different stages of shadow on that one, really nice. Good to see you again... keep it up ...

    - Hmm...Blonde or Brunette?

  • Agree with jo, like sepia the best, and if three candles did not have the background distraction would have liked it better.
