My camera is a Minolta Dimage Z6 and has built in macro and super macro settings. The super is a 35mm equivalent of 63mm and it's focus range is 1 - 100 cm. I've never had a camera that could get so close before, so I'm just having fun finding things to shoot with it.

Thanks for the info on the camera....are you able to interchange lenses with it? I've seen this, but not paid much attention to it 'cause I had my heart set on something else....I may have to change my mind....

I can buy a wide angle lens for it, but the macro and super macro are built in on this camera.

That lens certainly does get close, I agree with Lauramars though, I think it needs just a wee bit more to be sharp.

That's the thing about using such a small DOF. If you move the tiniest bit between focus and shutter snap, you get a fuzzy picture.

I think the unexpected focus is kinda cool in a way, take a picture you would expect the focus to be in a certain place and you automatically look there, in this case its not so your eye has to wonder a bit to find it...
