Learning the new camera

I recently got a new camera and I've been trying to learn all it's settings.  Here's some of the pics I've taken recently.

Done for the Popup Linkday.

I fired up the grill to cook some porkchops and was playing while I wasPopup Linkwaiting Popup Linkfor the Popup Linkcoals to be ready.

Just a Popup Linkcouple Popup Linkmushroom shots.

And finally a shot that would have make my co-workers wonder about my sanity if they saw it.  We were pouring Popup Linkconcrete at work.

    The DOF on concrete is awesome, and the tricycle shot I loved. I personally would up the contrast on those two just a tiny bit, but then I've been known to be a contrast junky, so what do i know. Nice photos!

    I love the first shot. Very nice. But with the B&W I would like to see it with just the old fashion trike. But I really do like it!!

    Minolta isn't it, I thought that's what I read. I looked at those when I was getting a camera, they had some nice options.

    Thanks for the comments! The camera is a Minolta Dimage Z6. 6 MP with a 12x optical zoom. Still getting used to it, but so far I like it.

    The first fire one is the one I like too. The trike one I liked but as someone always complains...the date stamp is distracting.

    Yep, the trikes are GREAT! I really like this shot, and not just because I used to have a trike like the one in the rear. Great composition.
