I do not fully understand thirds but here are a few of my tries--I was shaking when taking pictures so I know some are not clear like they should be, but wanted to try my hand at this and it will be a few more days before being able to try to do any more--will appreciate help.

B, thirds generally means you divide the picture into 3 parts. Let's say you have a balloon, instead of placing it in the center of your view finder, you place it off to a side for example taking up 1/3 or 2/3's of the view finder or picture. It's based on an imaginary grid that would be on your view finder. jojames theme post had an example of that grid. #2 is a good example of thirds. All your pictures look great!

  • Just think of it as Hollywood Squares and you never want to pick the Center Square (Whoppi? Paul Lynde?)

  • B, Look at Debora's post below as I know you have. Most are perfect example of thirds. Like #1. She does not have the words centered they are in the lower 3rd of the frame.

It doesn't mean groupings of 3, I think some people are interpreting it that way maybe. But I do like groups of 3...LOL

#2 is the best example of the rule of thirds. Just wondering. Is splatterfetti the same as Hershey-squirts? 12/01/05 0741 CST
