yes do as they made me do and lay under them as they jump 6 feet over you and pray they don't drop a board or themselves on you!

what a great mom! isn't that all you ever wanted from your folks, is for them to be interested in what you do? Then the bonus...your mother takes live action shots! the first shot is the best!

Good action capture in the first picture--don't know if I would have the nerve to lay down and let one jump over me--but good luck to you.

Very nice! Great shots of a hard subject, and your son looks like he's very good at skateboarding. I bet the more you take pics, the better the pics will get. I know I wouldn't have the nerve to lay under for a shot, either- but a shot low to the ground looking up might be interesting.

Lil does have some shots she set up with the kids. Where she laid under them and they jumped over her. Off a high surface thank God.

Penny.. just a few thoughts... one... shoot as wide open as possible with as fast a shutter speed as possible for stop actions... another thought is a change in perspective.. laying down on the street (not under but beside) will change it up. also... going over.. such as being on a ladder and shooting down as he goes beside... and lastly.... shooting tight on the board, his feet... his expressions... most of all just try anything different and se what you like. btw... cool pics

I would take "tricks" in an 8x10 and flank them with "my son" and "skateboarding" in maybe 5x7's all in the same frame and present it to him as a gift. Kids love that kind of praise and encouragement.
