Yay! Christmas came early.....I got my new camera! I got a Canon Rebel XT with the 18-55 kit lens, plus a 70-300 lens with the macro function on it. I am very happy with the camera....I just have to learn to use it. I've not played much with the "custom" settings, but I'd like to share some pics with you that I have taken with it. I need all the help I can get, so fire away....

Congrats on the new gear!..really liked #1 for the theme..now play away..make sure you get a remote switch..every little bit helps when it comes to shaking..of course at a price you can start using lens that have a stablizer in them $$, but they also have better glass.

Broken window was very moody..I liked it. I'm not completely over being jealous of you...but since you are going to let me play with your camera until I get mine in January...I'll pretend I'm not jealous. (Congrats on the newest toys...Santa sure is good to you!)

Great job on the theme. Looksl ike you're getting it. But you know, a lot of those "regular" pictures would benefit from using the rule too.

Thanks, y'all; I appreciate all the feedback. Ya know, it's not that I've been THAT good this year, it's just that I asked for a camera, he said I already had one, so I just told him when I found what I wanted, I'd get it and it would be my Christmas present.......guess that's one way to get what you want.... Jo, looking forward to you coming over to play with the camera.....maybe you can give me some pointers on it....
