This flower was given to me by a gardener friend saying it was the first blossom of its kind (Dahlia?) to open this summer - and she gave it to me!

Like the original the best---dahlia's have a pretty bloom--just wish they lasted a little longer.

Dahlias are beautiful flowers. Some get the size of large dinner plates. Blooms don't last long but well worth the time you have to enjoy them. Beautiful shots.
