Thanks for this theme, Kerry!  I've really enjoyed it!  I know my pics of the hawk aren't as good as some have been on here, but I'm proud of them.....I've tried to capture one for years and God finally saw fit to let me do it this morning!  Woo-Hoo!  What a morning!

Hope y'all enjoy!

Kay do you go to Grafton, IL to see the eagles? That is good spot to see them and sometimes they are pretty close. I hope to go over the New Years weekend. :o)

Kay, I really like the last three, both the befores and afters. You did a great job capturing the essence of these birds.

Thanks, y'all! When I came home this evening, there were TWO in a tree together....of course, I had to drive around and capture them, too! It was awesome! Robin, how far away is that from Farmington? I've never been there, but sure would like to go and try to capture some of the eagles!

How far are you from St. Louis? I think you are an hour from me (IL just across the Jefferson Barricks Bridge), and it takes me an hour to get there.

Hey check this website out it may help you see where it is, I am not familiar enough of the area to explain it to you. Plus it gives you info on the eagle watching. Hope it helps http://www.greatriverroad.com/Cities/Grafton/graftonCover.htm

Kay, #1 make me wonder, how can you soar with the eagles when you're stuck with us turkeys? Good shootin' and PSn'. There is a spot on #5 before, and the hunter looks like it has its eye on it. See what I mean?

  • Kay, did the salesman, when you bought your camera, suggest a polarizing lens for the front of it? I strongly recommend it--not only to cut down glare but to keep your actual lens spot- and scratch-free.
