Reflecting thoughts

The weather has been so dreary here and there just hasn't been anything interesting to shoot, so I started looking back at some of my past pictures.  Summer before last we were traveling the southern route to California.  In the middle of the prairie while crossing Texas we came across this Popup Linkhuge cross that had statues around it and gardens.  It was lovely.  We saw the Popup LinkPainted Desert and Popup Linkthe Grand Canyon.  In the desert we found some  Popup Linkpetrified wood and a Popup Linksunset in New Mexico.  We spent a week in Mammoth Lakes in California and enjoyed every minute.  On our way home we stopped at The House on the Rock in Wisconsin.  One of my favorite rooms there has this huge carousel with
Popup Linktwirling lights.

  • Beautiful scenery--reminded me of the time I drove from TN to AZ. Grand Canyon is so breathtaking to see, cannot put into words how I felt the first time to be there.

  • I have to go back to the Grand Canyon. It's been 10 years and it is so close. Thanks for reminding me! Nice pix!

Grand Canyon is interesting. The way you framed it. New Mexico makes me homesick!

I love that Grand Canyon shot! I've never been there and the pics I've seen are all just "straight on" shots; the way you framed this one.....I REALLY like!

  • very nice work. I haven't been to the GC since I got a decent camera...and an instamatic just doesn't do it justice. I also like the whirl of that carousel!
