Took these a little while ago.  All on Fuji Superia slide film and scanned using god knows what when I was at school.  I had a lot more pics, but sadly they were destroyed when some idiot (me) opened the back of the camera with the film still in.

These are great - pastural scenes. I like the way you took a slice out of #1 to make #4. Is this in the Pacific Northwest?

  • Lopez Island is part of the San Juan Islands, an island chain that is wedged between Bellingham, WA and Victoria BC. The body of water in #3 is the Straight of Juan de Fuca and the mountians are the Olympics. From everything I've seen, all the populated islands have power on them, including Lopez.

  • Lopez is the one I've only been to the ferry dock, I think. So close and yet so far...these are great shots. I like how your photos have a unifying "look" to them that identify them as yours.

  • Thanks Cory. I have spent some time on Lopez. I am from Friday Harbor. We owned San Juan Pile Driving Company and did work all through the San Juan Islands. Every couple of years we did repair work at the little fuel/marina to the west of the ferry dock.

  • Hehe, I screwed up and did that the last time I went to the zoo. I was going to change out the film, and I forgot to wind it back first. I just sort of stared at it blankly with my mouth hanging open. ;P
