Seminole Canyon is known for its rock art. Some of the shelter paintings in this area date back 4000 years.Popup LinkShaman Dance Circle Popup LinkSpitting Panther Popup LinkWhite Shaman When Hwy 90 was re-routed, the old road bed was left to the elements which makes for some interesting statements about the power of nature to reclaim. You did a great job of bringing the rock paintings to life, and the butterfly is super.

stunning shots--I really enjoyed them all! But I loved, loved, LOVED "Old Hwy 90 Roadbed". That's brilliant. Great subject and composition. Oh, and it looks like should be "Barfing Panther" in that second pic ;-)

My favorite place and you did a beautiful job of capturing it! Isn't the rock art great and to have lasted all this time! Great job and I loved the butterfly!

Thanks all.  Westex49 -- my son and I are going back this weekend for two canyon hikes, so I'll post some updates.  I'll get to photograph some of the caves that aren't normally open to the public.
