While vacationing in Germany, we made a trip to the Dachau Concentration Camp. One of the best vacations I have had in a long time. If you are ever in Europe, I would highly recommend Dachau as a "must see".
Very nice shot--I really like the perspective. Interesting, isn't it, that most shots of the camps are black and white? It's like color would almost make it too real. And the photographs we have of the era are, of course, b/w too.
The B&W is essential in such photos, not just becuase the ones took in the dark days, but also the B&W neautralizes the cheerfull colors of the sorroundings...I must add that if that day was rainy/cloudy this shot was even more gloomy and dramtic (but what can we do, the wheather is not yet under our control, right?).
