  • Is this at 4AM or are the cars just invisible on the Bay Bridge cause of a Long exposure?
    Nice

Actually it is about 6:00 P.M. and the traffic was light. The camera should have recorded the tail lights of some cars, but thats the way it goes sometime.

Looks like the camera knows what it's doing.  Nice shot.

  • What I love the most about road shots like that are when people change lanes.  If you look closely at the bottom left, somebody is changing langes.  The only evidance is what you'd think is a dashed line, but is actually the blinker :-)

For bonus points, if the speed limit is 55 miles an hour, and the span of the bridge is (say) 2000 feet, what is the shutter speed?

With night shots I, always open lens to maximum aperture in this case F3.5 and ISO of 400. The shutter was about5 seconds.

  • Heh.  Your picture didn't have enough cars for that story problem.  I love thinking about those kinds of numbers in my head with night shots.  I think it would be easier to figure if it was pictures of stars...

One of the best night light photos I have ever seen of a favorite city.  Great composition.

  • Beautiful.  I like the subtle sunset pinks floating aronud in the sky.  I think the camera did a pretty good job on this one.
