A trip to the park took me to the garden where i found some wonderful flowers. Some were in a cart Popup LinkFlower Cart and some were just by themselves.

I also got creative at the fire station and posed my gear on the front bumper of the engine. Popup LinkFire Gear Also at the station we played around with the thermal imager to see if we could find any ghosts hanging around the station. Popup LinkGhosts

Lastly at home I caught a mother cardninal with lunch for her babies Popup Linkcardinal . I didnt want to disturb their feeding so pics of the babies will have to wait.

That ghost image is kinda freaky; cool, but bordering on spooky!  I love the cardinal!  I haven't been able to get that close to one; this is a great capture!  You can really see the wear and tear on your gear; thanks for all you do!

Very nice.  Good eye at the fire station.  Nice capture with the cardinal.  I don't know if yours are the same as our in the North East that is a male.  The female is a duller red, not as pretty.  Some guys have it all!  Good shots!

Jeffrey, Jeffrey, Jeffrey...You'd best clean that helmet before you give the wearers of the "white hats" a bad name.

I love "Flower cart" with its abundance of greens and blossoms.

Good job using the thermal imaging camera on "Ghosts". (For those that wonder...What you are seeing is the residual heat left behind by someone that had been lying in the bunk. This is the same technology our military uses for night vision.)

I agree with crzykty on the cardinal. With its red color, I believe it is a dad with the tasty treat in his bill. Cardinals are fun to watch in the spring during mating season, because the male picks up food in his bill, hops over to his intended and places it in her bill. Has anyone else seen this?

I had a family of Cardinals in one of the bushes near the house.  Watched as mom and dad both did the feeding; it was a sight to see.  Haven't witnessed the "mating ritual", though.

  • Good Stuff, Really Like The Shots Ghost And The Cardinal. Good Shoot'n Jeffrey! Yes The Cardinal Is A Male. And Pyro, I Have Seen The Male Give Food To The Female. But When They Have Babies Both The Male And Female Will Feed Them.

  • Pyro--that was what I was going to guess re: the ghost on the bed. Still, even with the explanation, it's an eerie image. I like it a lot!

Pyro was right on... and i stand corrected on the cardinal... and pyro my gear is a tad dirty but i did the fresco thing in PS which changed the tone of the picture (for the better i think) but it does make my newer gear look rather worn
