The old White Pass Yukon Route was built to carry miners and their gear to the gold fields of Alaska during the Alaska gold rush. This narrow gauge line runs from Skagway, over White Pass to the Yukon. Today it is back and running as a tourist line.
Love #2; that's what I'd imagined Alaska to look like. The angle in #4 is fantastic! Looks like that train just goes on forever and ever! Thanks for another look at history!
tetedefromage... you are going go have a great time. Sights like you have never seen. I sure fell in love with the place.
evilsqueendee... made it back just fine. Well better than fine. One week of eating on that cruise ship cost me a 10lb weight gain.. lol I think those were the extra points I ended up with.
Is there something tweaked with the steam in shot #1? Something just seems strange about that steam/smoke from the engine. Almost too perfectly translucent... Hrm...
