Just about time for this Yankee-girl to head south again for the south-of-the-Mason-Dixon-family reunion at our cabin. I get my best photos there. Got me started thinking about our last trip. The drive down sets the stage:
Popup LinkLookout ; Popup LinkThe View

One of my favorite sites: the "Old

Popup LinkBoundry Rock" is actually listed on the deed as the edge of the property.

More later, but would love your advice & comments on these. Thanks, all.

  • I can see for Miles and Miles, I can see for Mile and Miles ad MIles and Miles... Wo, nuff of that. Anyway.  If you are in a situtaion like The View, Try holdinng your hand over top of your lens to act as a Hood and prevent that Lens Flare. Also what are the artifacts to the left ? It almost looks like dust in a Scan. I would clone them out.
BUT, other than that, Looks like a great place to get away from the Hussle and Bussle. I love em'

Reminds me somewhat of my home; where are you going?  I love the pics, and I agree with AMH on the "glare"; maybe adjusting the contrast a little would help that.  Just a suggestion.

Thanks for the advice on the lense hood etc. This wasn't scanned in, so maybe some dust on my lense.

KayN, we were heading north after flying into SC - this was on Ceasar's Head (between Brevard, NC and Travelers Rest, SC)

  • Agreed, Kody--as someone who's been to your neck of the woods I can attest to that. Didn't mean to be geographically snobbish; just meant that this country alone you could spend the rest of your life exploring!
