The Presidio La Bahia is just across the San Antonio River from the Mission Espiritu Santos.  This is the place from which Col. Fannin launched his unsuccessful attempt to aid those trapped at the Alamo.  The Presidio was built in the 1750's and the church still holds weekly worship services.

Very beautiful images Wilk! Thanks for sharing this, I would probably have never seen this beautiful place had you not brought it to us.  Just think 255 years of parishioners there, I can only imagine how much change the fathers there have seen... and listened to, yet the walls hold all the secrets to the past because they have remained unchanged.

Moose -- no worries; the home office has sent Santa Anna's Wrecking Service to help unjam the place.

AnyMoose, funny, but don't say that inside the borders of Texas unless you are armed and willing to try your fast draw.

Wilk, The Presidio La Bahia is spectacular, seems a shame that the fame of The Alamo has overshadowed its place in Texas history.  Thanks for the images and reminder.
