Since some of you have gotten in to shooting sports(MATT!!!), I thought I would share the worst storm I ever had to shoot in. Football friday night!!! It was along time ago, but I still remember it vividly. I had to put my camera in a plastic garbage bag and cut a hole in it for my lens! The quality is not the best as the rain washed out anything that was in the light in places and I had to  push my film to asa 6400. Here goes...Popup Linkoops..  Popup Linklotsa rain Popup Linkgotcha  Popup Linkriver walk  Popup Linkstack  Popup Linkyummy..mud sandwich!

  • These are great especially considering the conditions

  • I Agree Great Shots For Those Conditions! I Was A Fullback In High School And Loved Playing In The Mud. It Was Great To Pound The Middle And The Linemen Loved It Also, But The Quarterbacks And The Recievers Hated The Mud With A Passion.

These would make Vern Biever proud. (Vern was the photographer for the Green Bay Packers from the 1950s or 1960s until just a couple years ago. He has two sons - one that is now the Packers photographer and one that is a photographer for Sports Illustrated. Vern lives in Port Washington, WI - just up the road from Grafton. If you have seen any famous Packer pictures, Vern took them.)

it may sound wierd, but i think the grainy works.  it adds to the gritty muddy yucky environment that they strive to endure. nice captures

  • These are very nice.  The b&w along with the grain really gives these a surreal feel.  Nice work.

    - In tune with the camera.
