Field Trip

So recently I went to the Mountain View Conservation Center in Langley, BC, Canada with a group of volunteers from the Woodland Park Zoo. We had an

upclose and personal encounter with Ivan the Indian One Horned Rhino. Also got

a bird's eye view of the

ostrich which was in their African savanna exhibit with several

Masai Giraffe. Before we left, they took us over to see a group of

lemurs, which included a

little family with a pair of

twins. There was also a

crowned crane nearby that was just gorgeous.

What a coincidence, just got through watching a program on the Discovery channel and they were showing what you call lemurs.
And the crowned crane--never seen anything like it.

Agree withLaura ..again, the giraffe..most people would have tried to get his whole neck in..but the way you showed it ..cool. And the crowned crane..wow. all your shot, me likieee..

Thanks everyone for your wonderful comments! Definitely makes a girl feel a bit more confident!
My love of photography actually started a couple of years back when I started taking pictures at a friends wedding. Some turned out so well that they now have them on their coffee table instead of their professional pics! My hubby saw my potential and bought me a Canon EOS Rebel and a 75-300mm lens, which I recently upgraded to a Canon 20D (all of the pics in this post were taken w/ the digital). Thanks again, and hopefully I'll be posting more in the future!
