New to the site

Hello everyone. I have been scanning the site for a few months now and finally decided to take the plunge and join. So far I have uploaded some of my digital pics from the past couple years, have not gotten around to scanning my others. I am still getting used to how this thing works, so any constructive critisisms would be helpful and appreciated. I am having trouble getting my picture loaded for the "your picture" portion of prefereces, again any help would be great.

this is what anymoose told me
Your Pic is too big. It can be no larger than 150H X 125W (DPI). (Don't get the height and width mixed up.)
Re-size your photo and then re-upload it then you can choose it from the drop down list.

I have a pic that is the right size (150h x 112w) But none of my pictures that have been uploaded are showing up in that particular drop down list.

Actually Pua, your picture is 150W (Wide Not HIGH) by 112 H. That is why it will not show up. Can be no wider than 126 Wide
As I told Skywanderer is is common to get the two mixed up.

At least I am not the only one. Thanks for the clarification! The fire pictures are from the cedar fires, the one with the smoke is from my front yard.

Austin do I have to do all the HTML stuff for the stories to get pop-ups? So complicated!

Pua, in case John doesn't see this soon. It really is easier than it seems. Just select the picture you want from the drop down list and press insert. It puts all the HTML you need right into your story for the picture to pop-up. The only thing you can change if you want is to take out DESCRIPTION_HERE and put a Name you would like for the Photo's Pop-up. Then keep clicking the preview button till it look how you want it. If it doesn't preview right it won't look right posted.
