the color in 1
and the span of 2
it is crazy how it is the same image...but the emotion is different in both.
2 is more relaxing. 1 is more ... triangle - three focal points (jacket-boat-seagull)

I like the first one better, also. I don't pay so much attention to the gull as I do the color in the jacket and bike. It's like it's the only thing out there in that great big ocean. Don' t much care for the grainy look.

love that shot! Somehow I think the wheel of the bike makes the shot. I like how the boat on the water is framed by everything else, yet everything else is what is really interesting.
