Back Yard

Since I couldn't do anything else yesterday, I went out into the back yard and found a couple of interesting shots (and made one).

This bug decided to pop out of its skin on a lily leaf.

Then it was lunch time for this one.

I found a piece of driftwood at the beach and arranged a purple flower on it.

I hope you like the shots.

Nice shots. The "bug" shell I believe is the shell of a Cicada.

I liked the grainy flower also.Wish it were a closeup, it would be very "artsy" looking.

Thanks, for the comments. It was a "self project". Just a way of getting myself out of the house. Throw a rock and only photograph things within 10 feet. Give it a shot.
As for the bug, I am fairly sure it is a cycadid (spelling may be off, but I think this is what it is). You know those things you hear all night long. . . They sound a lot different than crickets.
