I went to a bike rally this morning; never been to one, so this was a first.  This is also my first try at seriously trying to capture chrome and paint jobs.  So, whatever I've done wrong, I'd appreciate tips on how to rectify the problem.  Thanks, Mike, for the pointers on even how to photograph this!  Bike Rally
Couldn't leave without trying "frybread"; had never heard of it before, but it is delicious!  Popup LinkBalanced diet This is Popup LinkLinda & Dennis, the folks who made the bread.  Hope y'all enjoy!

Great shots, KayN, and you won't get any tips from me, just hope I could do it nearly as well.  Nice use of the gallery feature.  I have come to really enjoy the gallery format.

Could you get Linda & Dennis to send me some frybread?

  • Great Pics Kay! I like the details. Also a bit unfair, as I really miss my bike, and had pretty much gotten over it...

  • Wow, yours turned better than the ones i took last year. I was in such a hurry to let others take pics that most were blurry etc.

  • Well Kay it looks like you could have gotten a little closer to your subjects....especially the tank paint jobs, by sitting topless on them. ;)

Loved the way the painting of number six had so much depth in it.  Truly an artist painted that. Can't say I'm so in love with the subject matter of most of the paintings, but they were well done.

Kay what Rally was it? Sturgis? That frybread up here we call Elephant ears...thaw frozen bread dough out, let rise, rip some off, deep fry and add cinnamin (sp?) and sugar. They sell them at our county fair. Graet shots!!

No, this frybread is hand made; they say it's just like what the Indians used to make, and they put any number of toppings on it.  Man, it's good.....

TTEOLM, don't think that would have been possible....rules against going topless....

Thanks for all the comments, y'all; I was really nervous about doing this shoot....new subject and all....

  •  Must not have been too nervous, U did good.  The frybread make me think of funnel cakes where we put different toppings on them.

  • kayN, there are rules about going topless, but, rules are made to be broken and only when you know the rules are you able to break them properly.
next time you attend a bike rally inquire as to whether they sponsor a breezy run?
