How to make your own Backdrops

 This is a shot of ice crystals.. on my car yesterday..just a small amount of tweeking with levels..and you have a photographers backdrop for a portrait...ice..Popup Linkfrom car ..heres an example of it with a hand...Popup LinkWhy...why not!...Some people pay good money for background shots for digital work...and to think they can be found around the house...cool

    I've done the make your own canvas and moslin drops....and to tell the truth you don't save a large amount of money, and if your not an expert at that kind of thing,,,then you have to live with the...bad die job...or paint job. I've chosen to leave that to the people that do it best..(not me)...so this is a easy and cheap why of trying out all kinds of colors and textures....

    Cool idea, but 3 quarts of paint $25.oo a canvas tarp $25.00 so $50 is better then hundreds they charge. But I guess if a person can't paint it might look bad, so your right chef.

    that is cool...hadn't thought of that. its funny though, because here, its only snowed once, and the temperature is around 45-55 degrees everyday, which extremely high and above the average for here. cool info.

    There sure are plenty of lessons to learn from all of you--now to just try to do some of them. Like what you did in this one--can't decide what the texture looks like..when I first looked at it made me think of OSB board that had been painted.
