Springtime in Europe and the UK

Maybe a little glimpse of springtime will lighten the cabin fever for those of you all snowed in.  Wales is one of the greenest places I have ever seen.  Peeking though this opening at the Galway Castle wall  Popup LinkCastle wall is like looking into springtime.  I learned that only 1 in 5 Welsh people still speak their native language, which I think is sad.  Check out this sign written in Welsh and it gives you an idea why! I love taking pictures of things against the sky.  Popup LinkEnglish statue  This was on top of a castle in Leeds, England.   We went to Sitges, Spain on Easter Sunday, this is the cathedral at Sitges on the sea, a magical day.  Popup LinkSitges I guess one of my favorite things to shoot is architecture, I fell in love with the iron work on the buidings in Marseilles.  A wonderful place to sit and watch the world go by on a spring day.  Popup LinkMarseilles
For those of you who suggested I crop the picture of my son in the alley in Gerona, here is the revised version.  I think I still like the tall overexposed sky shot better though!
Popup LinkGerona Spain  What do you think?  Popup Linkoriginal Gerona shot  Thanks for looking at my shots, appreciate your comments and suggestions.  There are some really talented photographers on this site, a great learning tool!

Thanks for the shots of Wales! I love it there. And I like the cropped version of your son. More intense, greater concentration on the image. Good job.

Well since no one else did this today. I will be the Bad guy. You are supposed to only post once per 24 Hour Period, I know we all get excited at first post. But anyway, since a page only hold 30 posts each time you post it kicks someone else off. But you can put as many Photos in each post as you like. But anyway, I like the uncropped one better. You can see the hight and narrowness of the Street and if you were standing in there your eyes would adjust to the darkness and the sky would look bright and washed out just as it was in the Photo

No I was just saying when you posted last night you did three posts. It;s no big deal, I don't really care as long as you post good photos which you do. It when we get 4 posts by someone and all are out of focus then I start Puking uncontrollably LMAO

I must say, the uncropped picture of your son is a fabulous shot! The cropped picture is fine if you only want to see your son. But the uncropped tells the story.

Nice post! Loved the shots, and agree the architecture in France is great subject matter. I like both your sons shots - one man's meat and all that, but prefer the cropped one. Also agree 'bout the talent on the site, as I am learning too!

Your photos are just beautiful. I love the scene looking through the castle wall. The old architecture is just beautiful too. Good shooting.

You have some excellent images here! I'm like Moose on seeing great pics/blurred pics. Plus, I read your apology in your third post from last night. I enjoyed each and every one of these pics; can't pick a favorite. You have a good eye!

Very enjoyable travelogue! I really liked the Marseilles shot--it looks like a train coming towards us.

Liked the castle wall, framing the country side. Also liked uncropped better tells the story of where he is.
