Here are a few pics from the last couple days. Taken with the light challenge in mind. It has been and very . It was 4 below zero when I took . With my fingers numb and my nose hairs froze I headed back inside! My oldest son planted a Marigold seed last Mothers Day in a cup. It has been on my window sill. I believe I took pictures today of its last bloom. Here they are. Mothers Day Marigold

The thumbnail is a picture I took last summer, when photography was just grabbing hold of me.The sun was shining directly through the window into this iris. Though this is an old shot I wanted to share it for this challenge.

Oooohhhhhhhhh............I feel sorry for you........4 below...........that oughta be against the law......... I love the marigold shots with the snow in the background; that looks really good. Lighting and angles are also great. Snow is hard to capture the true color......I think you did great on these; they hurt my eyes just like it does when I'm out in it. Those iris shots are killer! The lighting is excellent!

Wonderful challenge post! Love this shot and the marigold. I agree with Kay about the snow in the background. Beautiful color and comp on those. Your snow made me so cold now I've gotta get more coffee to warm up. We should get some cooler weather here this weekend. It will be about 70 today.

Great shots. Particularly Iris. By the way, is the background skin or leather or ??? I can only make out a hint of it and I'd guess leather, but something inside my head keeps saying skin. Morbid curiousity, so shot me (with a camera only please LOL).

Great series, I love the marigolds, I like that you can see the snowy background. I love Snowy too, the flakes look like the stars, so sparkly. This shot is my fav. Excellant job Stay warm. :o)
