I'm rushing this a little for two reasons.  First, I figure the challenge is going to change on me any moment now, and second, I had to shoot something after the battery charged on my new camera.

As for the traditions, I started a new one this year.  I've posted before about losing my father a few years ago.  One of his favorite things was to visit Florida, and he loved the palm trees there.  On more than one occasion he would buy one of those palm seedlings they sell in the tourist shops, bring it north and try to grow it at home.  It never took though.  So this year I got a new Christmas tree in his memory.  I've had a couple of traditional ornaments for a few years now.  This horn symbolizes the many trumpet players we've had in my family.  Both my Mom & Dad, my brother and I, a couple of uncles, and one of my nephews have all played the trumpet.  My Mom bought me
 this one because of my favorite hobby.
