Dee oh eph, I had a lot of fun with this but just could not get what I wanted.  I'm now aware of the depth of this and will continue to experiment. Here are some of my experiments.

Popup LinkA map of the garment district where I work.  I wanted to get just the "You are Here" in focus, but after numerous attempts, including developing film, I gave up.

Popup LinkParking meter in front of B&H.  Guess how much it cost to park here on the street.  Any guesses?  Answer is further down the page.

Popup LinkYellow twisted fluorescent energy saver light bulb.   Say that five times fast.

Here is my favorite dee of eph. (Depth of food).  A Popup Linkpastrami sandwich from the Carnegie deli, ogled last Monday night, which cost $12.75, but was eaten in two subsequent meals.

The meter cost 50 cents per 15 minutes, which is one dollar an hour, credit cards are accepted.  The parking lot behind the meter is something like $15/hour.    I hardly drive into the city, but when I do, I find on free street parking.

  • Hey Pablo, nice pics. I liked your concept of the 'you are here' picture. Maybe some wise photog from here can tell us how to do that. My favorite was the Pastrami Sandwich. Looks good enough to eat. ;-)

  • It is almost lunch time for me so the sandwich reallyyyyyyyyyy looks good. Don't blame you about the parking, would have to find free paring also. Now just where are we? Oh, I know..we are here.

I agree with the masses....sandwich is the best pic. $15.00 an hour to park??? That's outrageous! I'd find a free spot, too!

Chef, yes two dollars per hour is correct. Does photographica have a pop up calculator I can use? Mostly trucks unloading goods park here. Funny about the sandwich, now I have a little obsession with photographing every different cuisine I eat. For lunch today I had sushi, I was very close to photographing the wonderful presentation.

  • I don't know, I'm in the minority here, but the sandwich makes me queasy...not much of a red meat eater am I. And doesn't anyone think $12.75 is an awful lot for a sandwich?
